Air Con Installation FAQs

A single room install with an average size of 15m2 and with the distance between the indoor and outdoor unit within 6m, approximately £999 plus VAT.

We usually allow one full day for a single system install.

All of the air conditioning systems we provide are A+++ rated meaning they are energy efficient and can help you reduce both your energy costs and CO2 emissions.

As summers continue to get hotter in the UK, an air conditioning unit can be an excellent investment for both homes and businesses.

As well as keeping you cool and comfortable in summer, modern air conditioning units can output warm air; offering a low cost method for heating rooms in the winter.

Air conditioning units can also help to improve the air quality of your home and reduce humidity.

Whilst it’s possible to install air conditioning units yourself, it’s not advisable without the correct experience and qualifications.

Air conditioning systems use fluorinated gases to cool the air and F-Gas certification is required when working with appliances that use these gases.

Furthermore, the gases used in all new AC systems are flammable and are therefore dangerous to work with if you don’t have the correct equipment and expertise.

Modern air conditioning units are extremely effective in distributing air and therefore the position doesn’t matter as much as it used to.

However, to get the best results from your system, it’s better to position the air conditioning unit centrally to ensure a balanced airflow.

As well as the positioning, choosing the right type of unit can help in ensuring your air con runs as effectively as possible.

Air Con Servicing & Repairs FAQs

All our manufacturers offer a warranty on their units which ranges between 3-5 years. We also guarantee our workmanship for 1 year.

We can usually diagnose and repair most faults, from PCB replacements to compressor replacements.

During a routine air conditioning service, a number of health checks are undertaken, the filters are cleaned and leaks are checked for.

If the air conditioning system is very old, you could save yourself money by purchasing a new unit rather than repairing the old one.

An air conditioning engineer will be able to assess the damage and make a recommendation on whether it’s worth repairing or replacing.
